My name is Jesse van den Broek and I am 21 years old. After completing the Civil Engineering bachelor last year, I am now studying the Water Engineering and Management master profile ‘River and Coastal Engineering’. My hobbies consist of playing tennis, piano and video games as well as listening to music. I was interested in joining the Study Tour: Join Japan because of Japan’s interesting culture and high-tech structures. Furthermore, I want to broaden my horizon and learn new civil engineering related things. By going to a country with different work ethics and culture as well as observing more practical issues instead of the usual textbook problems, I believe this can be achieved.
